“The Devil in Stitches” - Bad Religion
This is the newest single from Bad Religion’s upcoming album “The Dissent of Man,” to be released September 28th (which you should all be looking forward to!). The first impression that I got was of slight disappointment because it seemed more like pop-punk than punk rock, but I now love it. Besides, it’s not the first time that Bad Religion has had a sound like this - the album “The New America” is full of upbeat tracks like this one. I personally love what they are doing here - it’s got a great melody, fun background vocals, and interesting lyrics.
The very first thing that ever hooked me onto Bad Religion was Greg Graffin’s voice - over the years, of course, I’ve grown to love all kinds of things about the band, but I still will always love his voice. Of course, it remains incredible here. I was really excited when I was driving and heard it pop up on the radio, and it really put a smile on my face, so I hope you guys also enjoy this fun track!
For more comments on the single, including some from guitarist and songwriter Brett Gurewitz, check here.
I generally have not been reblogging my own Perceptard posts, but I was particularly excited by this one :) You should check it out.

This was crazy fast shipping. I ordered a Bad Religion mystery shirt bundle yesterday (there might still be some left! go get some!), and got my shirts today! You pay only $10, pick your size, and get 2 random shirts. I already have so many that the chances of me getting a duplicate were pretty good, I thought… but they sent me two that I don’t have and aren’t even up for sale on the website.
What the heck? Haha look at the back of one of the mystery shirts I got! (I love this song!) It’s a reflection of a reflection in my bathroom mirrors, so luckily I didn’t have to flip this picture in Photoshop or anything :)
Perfect, I was just wondering what I should wear to church next week.
aw crap I just realized I posted a picture of myself on here. And I’ve been so good about not doing that so far!
chimaera - bad religion
i’m obsessed with this song right now. if you haven’t heard it listen to it nownownow, you won’t regret it.
this one definitely belongs in my top ten lyrics of Bad Religion. especially this part:
You took a baboon and made him perfect
You took a lion and stripped him of his pride
Then you took a million more varieties, a scalpel and a sartory
And you stitched up a horrible surprise

LOL, I followed the link and I love what the posts say:
“Is that cat a 1st pressing?”
“Bootleg. The original died back in ‘86.”
“What the fuck? That looks just like my cat. And I too have a Bad Religion collection. Weird.”
“you guys should make out.”
oh, internet.
